Jackson Kayak Flex Drive 3D Rudder

Our team spent months studying designs to further improve the on water experience for our customer. We modeled, printed and tested several profiles before finishing the distinctive elements of our 3D rudder.

Our new rudder is injection molded glass filled nylon. It carries additional blade length which improves turning radius and tracking. We also enhanced the blade geometry which optimizes interaction between the water column and rudder blade that can be felt when maneuvering your FD. The rudder post is notched which allows debris to flow down and out of the space between the post and scupper when in use.
